Samsung offering Galaxy S phones to frustrated iPhone users

It appears that technology giant Samsung is handing out free Galaxy S smartphones to iPhone 4 owners frustrated by reception problems. An account on Twitter called @samsungukmobile is contacting people who've tweeted about their difficulties with the handset, asking them to submit their contact details to receive a free handset.

Sehr interessanter Marketing Ansatz - zumal auch in UK die Twitterer eher zu den "Early Adaptor" gehören werden. Überzeugte iPhone Nutzer direkt ein Android Gerät zukommen zu lassen, kann natürlich dazu führen, dass sie ihren gesamten Bekannten- und "iPhone-User"-Kreis zu einem Samsung und/oder Android Telefon raten. Die kostenlose Erwähnung bei WIRED hat ja schon geklappt ;)

Mal schauen, wie das Experiment ausgeht für Samsung - technisch kann das Samsung Galaxy viel mehr als das iPhone - gute Chancen also, dass viele "konvertieren".
